ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1, 2 & 3

Day 1: Delhi
On arrival at Delhi’s airport you will be met and driven to your hotel for check-in

Day 2: Delhi
Tour of New Delhi a the city which is built on multiple layers of history.

Day 3: Chalnichina
Transfer to the New Delhi railway station for train to Kathgodam; Arrive Kathgodam and transfer to Chalnichina for a stay at Itmenaan Estate a 10 acre resort surrounded by panoramic views of the Himalayas.

Day 4, 5 & 6

Day 4: Chalnichina
Take a walk in the surrounding villages, interact with the locals, experience the way they live and discover their farming methods.

Day 5: Thikalna
This morning drive to Almora en route visit the wonderful Chitai temple. From Alomra walk 2 hours to your first village house at Thikalna.

Day 6: Ganghet
Walk to the next village en-route relish stop off to see the Jageshwar temples some of which date back to the 8th Century. Enjoy a picnic lunch and visit a village school.

Day 7, 8

Day 7: Chalnichina
After breakfast, you will walk downhill en-route visiting a very sacred temple of the people in the region and an excellent opportunity to interact with the locals; An up hill trek brings you back to Itmenaan Estate.

Day 8: Chalnichina-Binsar
Drive to Binsar Wildlife Reserve whereyou will stay at at Mary Budden Estate which is another jewel of the region named after its last inhabitant in the 19th century.  One of only five privately owned estates in the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. Relax and unwind in this beautiful spot.

Day 9, 10 & 11

Day 9: Binsar
Wake early for sunrise over the Nanda Devi range. Day is free for a post sunrise yoga session, a day walk in the sanctuary,before returning for high tea.

Day 10: Delhi
Transfer by road to Kathgodam station where you’ll board your train back to Delhi. Arrival transfer at New Delhi railway station to hotel.

Day 11: Onward travel
Departure to onward destination.
