ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1, 2 & 3

Day 1: Negombo
On arrival into Colombo Airport you’ll be met and transferred to your beach front hotel in Negombo. Rest of day at leisure.

Day 2: Wilpattu
This morning check out of your hotel and travel north to Wilpattu National park. Check into your tented camp

Day 3: Wilpattu
Morning and late afternoon game drives.

Day 4, 5 & 6

Day 4: Cultural Triangle
Enjoy a final morning game drive before travelling to the Cultural Triangle. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5: Cultural Triangle
Take an early morning hot-air balloon flight over Sigiriya and the surrounding countryside. Later, climb the spectacular Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Day 6: Cultural Triangle
Explore the ancient UNESCO city of Polonnaruwa by bicycle, followed by an afternoon jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, renowned for its wild elephants.

Day 7 & 8

Day 7: Kandy
After early breakfast travel by road to Kandy. En route stop to visit Dambulla Cave Temples. Check in at your hotel and rest of day at leisure

Day 8: Kandy
This morning visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, followed by a visit to the Temple of the Tooth.

Day 9 & 10

Day 9: Kithulgala
This morning check out of your hotel and travel to the village of Kithulgala and check into your eco lodge which is located on the Kelani River and is the best place in Sri Lanka for white water rafting.

Day 10: Kithulgala
Morning rafting and canyoning adventure.

Day 11, 12 & 13

Day 11: Beach
This morning travel to Sri Lanka’s south coast. Check into your beach front hotel for a 4 night stay. Activities which you can do while on the beach include:

  • Village cycle ride
  • Walk through Galle with a local guide
  • Traditional Mask making experience
  • Surf lesson
  • Whale watching excursion
