ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1, 2 & 3

Day 1: Delhi
On arrival you will be met and transferred to you hotel. Rest of day at leisure.

Day 2: Delhi
This morning you will join your photography guide on a walk of Old Delhi’s many bazaars and spice market as well as visiting the Gurudwara. Afternoon visit the sites of New Delhi, including Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutub Minar.

Day 3: Leh
Early morning you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board your flight to Leh. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of day is to be used to relax and acclimatize.

Day 4, 5 & 6

Day 4: Leh
Explore the monasteries and palaces of the Indus Valley with your photography guide, with opportunities to meet and photograph local monks.

Day 5: Leh
Visit Shey and Thiksey monasteries, learning about Tibetan Buddhist life. Enjoy a photography workshop focusing on capturing people and landscapes.

Day 6: Nubra
Cross the spectacular Khardung La Pass into the Nubra Valley, renowned for its dramatic mountains, sand dunes, deep blue skies and star-filled nights.

Day 7 & 8

Day 7: Nubra
Explore nearby Hunder Villages and the white sand dunes where the Bactrian camels roam. Visit Diskit Monastery, the largest gompa in the Nubra Valley.

Day 8: Delhi
Early start for the drive to Leh airport for your return flight to Delhi.

Day 9 & 10

Day 9: Agra
After breakfast drive to Agra and enjoy visits to the Agra Fort and Baby Taj – photograph the Taj Mahal, from the Yamuna at Sunset.

Day 10: Jaipur
This morning early rise to visit the Taj Mahal to capture it at sunrise. After breakfast continue by road to Jaipur.

Day 11, 12 & 13

Day 11: Jaipur
Photograph Jaipur’s Amber Fort and colourful Old City on a guided heritage walk. Later, travel to rural Samode for dinner at the palace.

Day 12: Shahpura
Travel to Shahpura Bagh, with photography opportunities along the way, and settle into your characterful royal homestay.

Day 13: Shahpura
Explore rural Shahpura with your photography guide, capturing village life, landscapes and local farms. Continue your photography workshop at the family fort, with wonderful views in the evening light.

Day 14, 15 & 16

Day 14: Delwara
Travel to Delwara and explore the village on foot, with plenty of opportunities for street, portrait and architectural photography.

Day 15: Delwara
Spend the day photographing Udaipur’s atmospheric Old City, Lake Pichola and magnificent City Palace. Return to Delwara for a farewell dinner at the palace.

Day 16: Onward Travel
Transfer to Udaipur Airport for your onward flight.
