ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Day 1, 2 & 3
Day 1: Kolkata
On arrival at Kolkata Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Kolkata
Afternoon your guide will meet you for a local sightseeing tour and a to enjoy some of the great Bengali street food
Day 3: Kolkata
Today after breakfast begin with local walking tour and post lunch visit local textiles stores and workshops and the meet the artisans who are responsible for creating the exquisite work.
Day 4, 5 & 6
Day 4: Mumbai
Transfer to the airport for flight to Mumbai where you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel
Day 5: Mumbai
Today after breakfast, explore some of the highlights of Mumbai with its fabulous architecture: the Flora Fountain, Towers of Silence, Hanging Gardens, Jain Temple and Chowpaty Beach followed by lunch at one of the many superlative restaurants in the city.
Day 6: Bhuj
Transferred to the airport for your flight to Bhuj where you’ll be met and transferred to your heritage homestay.
Day 7, 8
Day 7: Bhuj
This morning visit the magnificent textile museum established by Shrujan, see work of artisans of the Kutch. Afternoon visit a Kharad weaving centre.
Day 8: Bhuj
After breakfast take a full day excursion to the Banni region where you visit various villages and different tribal communities like the Meghwal, Mutwa & Khatri, to see the making of their stunning textiles and other handcrafted work.
Day 9, 10 & 11
Day 9: Gondal
Depart Bhuj and drive towards Gondal. En-route visits various textile villages.
Day 10: Gondal
After breakfast take an excursion to Jetpur to experience the production of screen prints. Visit Junagadh which is famous for its beautiful Islamic architecture.
Day 11: Ahmedabad
This morning drive to Ahmedabad en-route visit a small village called Sayla and see the single Ikkat weavers.
Day 12, 13 & 14
Day 12: Ahmedabad
This morning take a heritage walk of Ahmedabad, followed by a visit the Calico Museum & Sabarmati Ashram.
Day 13: Ahmedabad
In the morning after breakfast drive to Modhera to see the famous Sun Temple and continue to Patan to see the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site Queens stepwell known as the Rani Ki Vav
Day 14: Maheshwar
This morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Indore and transfer to Ahilya Fort. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 15, 16 & 17
Day 15: Maheshwar
Maheshwar is haven for textiles and a visit to the many centres producing intricate Maheshwari saris can be organised. Evening enjoy sunset boat ride on the River Narmada.
Day 16: Delhi
Today, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Indore Airport to board your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival met and transfer to hotel.
Day 17: Travel home
Transfer to Delhi Airport for onward flight
