ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1, 2 & 3

Day 1: Delhi
On arrival into Delhi you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Delhi
Guided tour of the narrow streets of old Delhi trying some the local street food. Enjoy the  amazing spice market with its pungent aromas. Afternoon visit some of the highlights of New Delhi.

Day 3: Bhubaneswar
Transfer to Delhi airport for your flight to Bhubaneswar.  Arrival transfer to the hotel.  visit the famous Lingaraj temple made out of sandstone in the afternoon.

Day 4, 5 & 6

Day 4: Bhubaneswar
Post breakfast drive to Olasingh textile village, see the skilled work of the artisans first hand and enjoy the traditional tiger mask dance of the region.

Day 5: Konark
Today drive to Konark. Visit the famous UNESCO Konark Sun Temple

Day 6: Cuttack
Pay visit to the Jagannath Temple in the coastal town of Puri (please note non Hindus are not allowed into the inner sanctum). Continue to Pipli and meet the appliqué artisans. Onward to Cuttack.

Day 7 & 8

Day 7: Angul
This morning drive to the beautiful textile villages of Nuapatna and Padmanavpur where you can see stunning Ikat silk sarees being weaved. Interact with the friendly local artisans, get hands-on with the weaving techniques, and do some shopping if you wish. Later you will be driven to Angul.

Day 8: Balangir
Early morning start for Deogarh to enjoy and explore another beautiful textile village where local tribal people produce exquisite organic dyed textiles with motifs which reflect the local culture of the region. Overnight in nearby Balangir.

Day 9, 10, 11 & 12

Day 9: Sambalpur
Travel to Sambalpur, visiting Barapali to meet the family of award-winning handicraft artist Kunjabihari Meher. Continue to Bargarh to see the traditional Kostha and Bhulia weavers.

Day 10: Bhubaneswar
Optional visit to Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary before returning to Bhubaneswar. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Delhi
Fly from Bhubaneswar to Delhi and relax at your hotel.

Day 12: Delhi Departure
Transfer to Delhi airport for your flight home.
