ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1, 2 & 3

Day 1: Colombo
On arrival into Colombo you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure.

Day 2: Anuradhapura
After breakfast you will drive to Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle – stay 3 nights at the luxury boutique hotel, Ulagalla, which is located a short distance from Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage  Site. Rest of day at leisure to enjoy resort facilities.

Day 3: Anuradhapura
Morning tour of Anuradhapura which can either be done on foot or if you prefer by bicycle.

Day 4, 5 & 6

Day 4: Anuradhapura
Early morning travel to Sigiriya where you’ll be able to climb the famous Lion’s Rock, which has incredible views of the surrounding countryside. Following a lunch in a local restaurant travel to Minneriya to do a jeep safari to see some of the large herds of elephants that congregate here for the water bodies (best time of year July – September).

Day 5: Kandy
After early breakfast travel by road to Kandy. En route stop to visit Dambulla Cave Temples. Check in at your hotel and rest of day at leisure.

Day 6: Kandy
Morning at leisure at your hotel. After lunch visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, one of Asia’s finest. Visit the Temple of the tooth in the early evening in time for the evening pooja.

Day 7, 8 & 9

Day 7: Hatton
Morning depart for the train station and board the hill train to Hatton where you’ll be met by your driver and transferred to your luxury accommodation – a converted tea bungalow. Rest of day at leisure to explore the estate on foot.

Day 8: Hatton
 Today you can join a guided tour of the estate with the estate manager, get a chance to meet the local tea pluckers and do a tea tasting in the estate’s factory

Day 9: Yala
Early departure for Yala National park. Check into your luxury tented resort.

Morning and late afternoon game drives.

Day 11: Galle
This morning travel along the south coast to Galle and check into your luxury hotel in the heart of the fort. Evening guided walk of the fort with a local.

Check out and travel to your beach stay for the remaining days of your stay, a 10 room boutique retreat with fabulous sea views.
