This is an educational voyage to India designed with high school and university students in mind, where something a little more in depth is required in order to stimulate their minds and imaginations. Taking in some of the most iconic sites in India, the tour also include visits to some of the most important and engaging museums and galleries as well as having many hands on experiences and local interactions. The aim Is to broaden the minds of the students, to enlighten them on the Indian way of life and how different people live their lives in some of the largest cities in the world and in small, rural villages and to leave with a new viewpoint of the incredible and highly varied land that is India.

This morning visit the Sanskriti Kendra museum, which houses three museums: the museum of Everyday Art, the Terracotta museum and the Textile Museum. You’ll enjoy a guided tour of the museums then take part in a workshop to learn one of the ancient crafts of India such as block printing or tie dye or pottery workshops. This evening join a street food walk in Old Delhi, visiting the narrow streets of the bazaars as well as visiting the Jama Masjid Mosque, India’s largest mosque. |

This morning join the Salaam Baalak Trust for a street walk with a difference – all the guides used to live on the streets before joining the trust who have many projects to give street children a safe place to say and get off the streets, along with educational and psychological programmes. Late afternoon visit the Indian Gallery of modern art. |

Today drive to Agra where you’ll enjoy a tour of the Agra Fort, Mehtab Bagh and the Taj Mahal for sunset. |

Today morning drive to Sambhar which is located on the edge of a large saltpan lake, home to flocks of flamingos at certain times of the year. It was once one of the most prolific salt producers in the world when controlled by the British. Board the Salt Production Train Tour and join the salt production workers and get a glimpse into the complex and back breaking process of extracting salt from the lake. Evening dinner under the stars. |

This morning transfer to Udaipur airport for your flight to Mumbai. On arrival you will drive to Dharavi, which is one of the largest slums in Asia. With a population of over 1 million people its inhabitants and industries create an annual turnover of over US$665 million. This tour of Dharavi aims to give visitors a much more nuanced understanding of life and work in Mumbai slums. Continue to your hotel for check in and rest day at leisure. |
