ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Day 1, 2 & 3
Day 1: Kathmandu
On arrival at Kathmandu airport you will be met and driven to your hotel for check-in. After completing the formalities for obtaining your trekking permits, take an evening walk around Thamel. Enjoy a Nepalese dinner and back to the hotel.
Day 2: Pokhara
This morning drive 6-7 hours to Pokhara; arrive and check in at your hotel. Relax and get ready for the trek of your lifetime!
Day 3: Landruk
Drive to Kade, the location for the start of your trek. Typically today’s trek is 4-5 hours and you reach at height of 1700m. Overnight at Landruk.
Day 4, 5 & 6
Day 4: Chomrong
Today’s trek to Chomrong brings you to the height of 2100m. The walking should take around 5 hours. From here you can get your first mesmerizing view of Machhapuchhare, the Fishtail peak at just under 7000 meters.
Day 5: Himalayan Hotel
Early start as you trek of around 5 hours to Himalayan Hotel which is at a height of 2850m. Slowly ascend soaking in the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings. As you climb along the steep stone steps you will pass rhododendron-covered path, mountainous terrains and forests of bamboo.
Day 6: Machhapuchhare Base Camp
Today trek for 4-5 hours to Machhapuchhare Base Camp and arrive at 3700m height, a grassy moraine platform for your overnight stay.
Day 7, 8
Day 7: Himalayan Hotel
Today the final push to Annapurna Base Camp which is located at an altitude of 4130m. As you reach Annapurna South Base Camp, witness the majestic panoramic view of snow-capped mountain peaks and varied Himalayan cultural settings tucked beneath the southern slopes of the Annapurna massif. Thereafter, head back down to Himalayan Hotel.
Day 8: Chomrong
Trek 5 hours and descend to 2100m to Chomrong. Hike though the riverbed of Kali Gandaki the world’s deepest river gorge.
Day 9, 10 & 11
Day 9: Tadapani
Today you take an alternate route to get back to Pokhara, via Ghorepani, walking through flatland, forests and terraced fields. Overnight at Tadapani.
Day 10: Ghorepani
Today you will once again ascend, reaching 3200m along steep trails which offer majestic snow-capped mountain peaks, lush vegetation and rich plant life . Continue walking for 3 hours and finally you will find yourself in Ghorepani. (total trekking time?)
Day 11: Hille
After savoring the mesmerizing sight of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak and other Himalayan giants from the popular vantage point of Poon Hill at 3195m, leave Ghorepani and continue towards Nayapul. You further descend towards Birethanti. On your trails of stone steps, you pass through dense forest and the small village of Ulleri. From Ulleri there is a very steep section [with 3767 steps] which leads down to Hille on the Bhurungdi Khola.
Day 12, 13 & 14
Day 12: Pokhara
After savoring the mesmerizing sight of Fishtail, Annapurna and other Himalayan giants from the popular vantage of Ghandruk, start back for Nayapul. Descend further to Syauli Bazaar and Birethanti which is in Modi Khola Valley at around 1,100 metres and from where you will start your travel back to Pokhara by vehicle. In the evening, you are free to wander by the lakes of Pokhara, take a soak in a bath or simply fall asleep with the memories of the high peaks for dreams! TOTAL TREKKING TIME?
Day 13: Kathmandu
Enjoy a morning boat ride on the picturesque Pehwa Lake after lunch drive to Kathmandu for 6-7 hours. Upon arrival check in at your hotel.
Day 14 & 15
Day 14: Kathmandu
Early morning proceed for your Everest scenic flight to avoid the cloud cover. On your return you can explore the Pashupatinath Temple and the Boudhnath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. In the afternoon, visit the famous Durbar Square of Patan.
Day 15:
Transfer to Kathmandu airport for your onward destination.
