 Explore Mumbai with a private guide who will introduce you to it’s amazing Indo-Saracenic architecture. See Crawford Market and the Gateway of India before reaching the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to board the luxury Deccan Odyssey train which departs at 15:30 hrs. Enjoy a royal and traditional Indian welcome.

 Today the Deccan Odyssey reaches Bijapur, the historic capital of the Sultans of Decca. Following breakfast  disembark for Bijapur sightseeing of Gol Gumbaz, the second largest tomb in the world, the mausoleum of Adil Shah, the Jumma Masjid, the Malik-e-Maidan, the largest medieval cannon in the world, Mehtar Mahal, a 17th century ornamental gateway to a mosque and Ibrahim Rouza, one of the most beautiful Islamic monument in India. Return to the train for lunch. Later, depart to Aihole & Pattadakal. Spend the evening at leisure on the train as it moves through the Deccan plateau. Dinner onboard followed by overnight on the Deccan Odyssey

 Today set out to visit the holy shrines and age-old attractions of Aihole and Pattadakal. Return for lunch on board. After lunch, you have option for a short trip to a local weaving village. Meet the local weavers and see how they create beautiful textiles. Alternatively  visit the incredible rock cut temples at Badami. Back to the train in time for dinner as it heads towards Hampi. Overnight on Deccan Odyssey.

 After the breakfast, the Deccan Odyssey arrives in Hospet to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Hampi, the 7th century remnants of the Vijayanagara Empire.  Back to Hospet for lunch on board the Deccan Odyssey. After lunch visit the Royal Centre of Hampi. Board the Deccan Odyssey for drinks and dinner. Overnight on the Deccan Odyssey as it travels to Hyderabad.

 This morning the Deccan Odyssey reaches the City of Nawabs, Hyderabad.
After having breakfast, travel to  Golconda Fort. Lunch on board and rest of day at leisure. Options for the afternoon include a shopping tour of Hyderabad and a visit to the Falaknuma Palace.  Afternoon explore the old city area of Hyderabad and enjoy shopping at its bustling bazaars (market), and visit Charminar and Pather Gatti. Back to the Deccan Odyssey for dinner and enjoy the evening as the train leaves for Aurangabad. Overnight on Deccan Odyssey.

 The Deccan Odyssey enters into Aurangabad this morning, after breakfast drive towards the Ellora Caves which is considered one of the finest examples of cave-temple architecture in India. Back to the Deccan Odyssey for lunch and sit back and relax for the rest of the day.  In the evening, relax with your favourite cocktails on board fixed by bartender followed by delicious dinner. Overnight on the Deccan Odyssey.

 After arrival at Jalgaon station visit the Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site carved with sculptures and paintings of Buddhist religious art. Enjoy your lunch on board the Deccan Odyssey. After lunch, leave for a sightseeing of a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Have dinner as Deccan Odyssey travels you back to Mumbai. Overnight on the Deccan Odyssey.

 After a leisurely breakfast disembark at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai. Bid farewell to the team and new friends on board to the Deccan Odyssey as your luxurious journey comes to an end. You will be met at the station and driven to the International airport for your flight to onward destination.
